Quoting, scheduling, and running the day-to-day of an automotive and residential tint shop.
Schedule tint jobs in fixed time blocks by job type, collect the vehicle and film details before you book, take a deposit on larger jobs, and send automatic reminders the day before and the morning of. Offering specific open times instead of asking when the customer is free cuts most of the back-and-forth.
Log every roll when it arrives with its brand, line, shade, width, length and cost. Deduct the footage each job uses, including waste, and count your rolls once a month to catch drift. Set a reorder point for each film you use often, so you reorder before a scheduled job runs short.
Take a deposit when the customer approves the quote on full-car, windshield, PPF and flat glass jobs. Invoice before the customer arrives for pickup so payment happens before the keys change hands. Every invoice should list the vehicle, windows, film brand, line and shade, the measured VLT readings, warranty details, the deposit already paid and the balance due.
Capture the same details on every inquiry (vehicle or property, glass to be covered, film line, shade preference, timing), present two or three clearly itemized film options instead of one number, put the quote in writing with a deposit requirement to book, and follow up on a set schedule until the customer says yes or no.
